On November 21, Unified Patents Inc. filed a petition for inter partes review, IPR2017-00296, against a patent owned and asserted by Textile Computing Systems, Inc. The U.S. patent 8,505,079, ostensibly directed to tokenization, had been asserted against credit unions.
