Nearby Systems patent validity challenges coming soon

The team at Unified is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against a patent owned by Nearby Systems LLC, an NPE and entity of Empire IP LLC. Unified Patents, the top requester of ex parte reexaminations in recent years, will likely challenge its validity. The patents generally relate to displaying location-based content on a digital map on a mobile device. $2,000 for Mare Infinitus Tech semiconductor patent prior art

Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of U.S. Patent 9,275,982, owned and asserted by Mare Infinitus Technologies LLC, an NPE and entity of IPValuation Partners, LLC. The '982 patent relates to semiconductor package structures and methods for forming interconnects between stacked semiconductor devices. It has been asserted against Samsung.

Submitted invalidity charts must address every limitation of the challenged claim. This may require using more than one prior art reference. $2,000 for MTEKVision vehicle recording patent prior art

Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of U.S. Patent 8,423,235, owned by MTEKVision Co. Ltd., an NPE. The '235 patent relates to a vehicle video recording device—essentially an advanced car black box—that records video and also gathers driving-related data.

The team at Unified is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against a patent owned by Bunker Hill Technologies, LLC, an NPE and entity of Dominion Harbor. Unified Patents, the top requester of ex parte reexaminations in recent years, will likely challenge its validity. The patent generally relates to a vehicle-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Two Wilus Wi-Fi patents challenged

On June 30, 2026, Unified filed two ex parte reexamination proceedings against U.S. Patent 11,356,947 and U.S. Patent 12,167,415, owned by Wilus Institute of Standards & Technology, Inc., an entity of Good Day to Invent, Inc. The '415 and '947 patents relate to allocation of bandwidth in wireless communications using a non-contiguous channel, based on information in HE-SIG-A and HE-SIG-B subfields in received packets. These technologies relate to Wi-Fi 6 enabled devices (802.11ax). The filings are part of Unified’s ongoing efforts in the SEP Wi-Fi Zone.
