Two Wilus Wi-Fi patents challenged

On June 30, 2026, Unified filed two ex parte reexamination proceedings against U.S. Patent 11,356,947 and U.S. Patent 12,167,415, owned by Wilus Institute of Standards & Technology, Inc., an entity of Good Day to Invent, Inc. The '415 and '947 patents relate to allocation of bandwidth in wireless communications using a non-contiguous channel, based on information in HE-SIG-A and HE-SIG-B subfields in received packets. These technologies relate to Wi-Fi 6 enabled devices (802.11ax). The filings are part of Unified’s ongoing efforts in the SEP Wi-Fi Zone.
