Second Atlas Global Wi-Fi patent challenged

On January 21, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 10,965,425, owned and asserted by Atlas Global Technologies, LLC, an NPE and Acacia Research entity. The ‘425 patent is generally directed to allocating and signalling the allocation of a special center 26-tone resource unit when employing 80 MHz or higher bandwidths in OFDMA wireless communications. The patent is currently being asserted against HPE, accusing access points that support Wi-Fi 6.
