The team at Unified IP Services used Pearl to successfully identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent RE47612, U.S. Patent 8,949,206, U.S. Patent 9,654,333, and U.S. Patent 10,225,173, owned by NovaCloud Licensing LLC, an NPE. The ‘612 patent generally relate to a streaming server and a method for providing a content stream with advertisements embedded therein through a network to a client. The ‘206 patent focuses on a method and system for creating multiple descriptor files for adaptive bit rate streaming of master content files. The ‘333 patent relates to a system for selecting the optimal processing unit for deploying applications or virtual images based on application-specific network load demands and the network capacity of available paths. The ‘173 patent introduces a method and system for enhancing network virtualization support through elasticity - the ability of network resources to dynamically expand or contract.
The ‘612 patent has been asserted against Amazon and Charter Communications. The ‘206 patent has been asserted against Charter Communications, Amazon, and Meta. The ‘333 patent has been asserted against Meta. The ‘173 patent has been asserted against Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta.
