BitHarmony video streaming patents prior art found

The team at Unified IP Services used Pearl to successfully identify and chart prior art against five patents owned and asserted by BitHarmony LLC, an NPE. The patents listed below generally relate to video streaming products and services with features such as adaptive bit rate streaming and media encryption and decryption. All five patents listed below have been asserted against Amazon. The ‘485 patent, ‘605 patent, and the ‘259 patent have been asserted against Warner Bros. Discovery.

The prior art was found and charted by Alejandro Borge, Juan Caldera, and Marlon Ramirez of Unified IP Services and Elaine Chow of Unified Patents.

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 8,468,464, U.S. Patent 10,444,943, and U.S. Patent 10,908,782 owned by Activemap, LLC, an NPE. The patents relate to interactive mapping ecosystem on retailer websites. The patents have been asserted against Nordstrom, National Vision, Lowe’s, The Gap, Petco, The Children’s Place, The Tile Shop, Compass, Chanel, Half Price Books, Lucky OpCo, and Luxottica.

DataCloud network communication patent campaign - invalidity charts coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 7,209,959, owned by DataCloud Technologies, LLC, an NPE and entity of IP Investments Group. The ‘959 patent relates to a method, apparatus, and system for anonymous network communication through an ad hoc virtual domain. The patent has been asserted against several but recently against Staples, Autel Robotics, Alteryx, VOXX, Advance Local Media, Aptiv, ServiceNow, Moodys Analytics, and Vivian Health.

Wolverine Barcode patent validity challenge coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against a patent owned by Wolverine Barcode IP LLC, an NPE and entity of Pueblo Nuevo LLC. Unified Patents, the top requester of ex parte reexaminations in recent years, will likely challenge its validity. The patent generally relates to a system for offline electronic commerce transactions utilizing a User ID Barcode for purchasing goods without needing physical cards or PINs. Wolverine Barcode has sued several including The Kroger Company, 7-Eleven, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Walgreens, Jamba Juice, Sam’s West, Chipotle, Macy’s, and Albertsons Companies. United States CP fingerprint authentication patent campaign - invalidity charts coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 9,760,753, owned by United States CP, LLC, an NPE. The ‘753 patent relates to a finger guide device intended for securing precise placement of a digit on a scanner to capture fingerprints accurately. The patent has been asserted against Samsung and their Galaxy-series smartphones and tablets that incorporate capacitive fingerprint scanners for identity authentication and confirmation.
