On October 1, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent RE47,612 owned and asserted by NovaCloud Licensing LLC, an NPE. The ‘612 patent is directed to adding advertisements to video content. It is currently being asserted against Google.
