The team at Unified IP Services used Pearl to successfully identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 9,280,689, owned by Wolverine Barcode IP, LLC, an NPE and entity of Pueblo Nuevo LLC. The patent generally relates to mobile apps interacting with QR codes. It has been asserted against Starbucks, Shell, Kroger, Macy’s, Amazon, Best Buy, McDonald’s, Albertsons, and others.
