The patent was formerly owned by Cine Graphic Solutions, an NPE and a subsidiary of Strategic Intellectual Solutions, LLC. The ‘644 patent generally relates to providing animation in electronic communications, such as emails and websites and had been asserted against Motorola, Samsung, and Fujifilm.
