Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of U.S. Patent 10,814,831, owned by Galicia IP, an NPE managed by patent advisory firm, Dynamic IP Deals LLC (d/b/a DynaIP). The ‘831 patent describes a monitoring and anti-theft alarm system for motor vehicles that integrates mobile communication to inform the vehicle owner about the vehicle's status via a mobile device. The patent has been asserted against Honda, Firstech, Tesla, and Voxx International.
