$2,000 awarded for IP Investments Group entity, Digimedia Tech, storage patent prior art

Unified is pleased to announce PATROLL crowdsourcing contest winners, Adrei Gilya and Calvin Zhong, who shared an award of $2,000 for their prior art submissions on U.S. Patent 6,684,220, owned and asserted by DigiMedia Tech, LLC, an NPE and an IP Investments Group entity. The ‘220 patent describes software stored on a computer readable medium that identifies a model comprising multiple objects, each with input and output variables. It has been asserted against GM and Pinterest.

We would also like to thank the dozens of other high-quality submissions that were made on this patent. The ongoing contests are open to anyone, and include tens of thousands of dollars in rewards available for helping the industry to challenge NPE patents of questionable validity by finding and submitting prior art in the contests. AI Industry Association patent prior art found

The team at Unified IP Services used Pearl to successfully identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 11,257,272, owned by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Association Incorporated, an NPE.  The ‘272 patent generates synthetic images, depth information, and optical flow data by assembling virtual objects into scenes and capturing them from realistic perspectives, defined by specific camera settings. It has been asserted against Osaro, Parallel Domain, CERES AI, MVision AI, Topaz Labs, Elementary Robotics, and Geisel Software.

The prior art was found and charted by Alejandro Borge and Oscar Jarquin of Unified IP Services and Elaine Chow of Unified Patents.

Four more Bunker Hill EV patents prior art found

Unified Patents, through its subsidiary Unified IP Services, plans to release charted prior art on Bunker Hill patents weekly until its assertion of invalid patents ceases. With the four patents below, Unified IP Services have released eight total charts within the last few weeks.

Unified’s IP Services using Pearl successfully identified and charted prior art against patents owned by Bunker Hill, an NPE and entity of Dominion Harbor Enterprises. U.S. Patent 7,446,797 generally focuses on a surveillance system optimization method based on user-defined environmental characterizations. U.S. Patent 9,809,121 generally focuses on charging and power management involving a bi-directional buck/boost converter connected to a battery. U.S. Patent 7,723,932 generally outlines a propulsion system for vehicles. U.S. Patent 7,960,857 generally pertains to a vehicle-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.

Quick Vault encryption patent campaign - invalidity charts coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 12,363,134, owned by Quick Vault, Inc. (d/b/a CloudVault). The ‘134 patent generally outlines a method and system for forensic data tracking, aiming to improve how data is protected and monitored as it is transferred between authorized and unauthorized users and devices. The patent is currently asserted against Musarubra US LLC.

Morris Routing network patent found invalid

On December 9, 2025, the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) entered a notice of intent to issue a reexamination certificate cancelling all challenged claims of U.S. Patent 12,058,042, owned and asserted by Morris Routing Technologies, LLC, an NPE. The ‘042 patent relates to path-based data routing in a network. It was asserted against Verizon, Samsung, T-Mobile, and AT&T
