SoundStreak Texas A/V recording patent reexam granted

On December 2, 2022, just one month after Unified filed an ex parte reexamination, the USPTO granted Unified’s request, finding substantial new questions of patentability on the challenged claims of U.S. Patent 10,726,822, owned and asserted by SoundStreak Texas LLC, an NPE and entity of Quest Patent Research Corporation. The ’822 patent is directed to simultaneously establishing high- and low- quality data formats for streaming and storing digital content during a live event. The patent is currently being asserted against Fujifilm Holdings.

On December 7, 2022, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) instituted trial on all challenged claims in an IPR filed by Unified against U.S. Patent 8,531,289, owned and asserted by LBT IP II LLC. The '289 patent is directed to location monitoring systems and has been asserted against Uber.

Ozmo Licensing wireless networks patent challenged

On December 6, 2022, Unified filed a petition for inter partes review (IPR) against U.S. Patent 9,264,991, owned and asserted by Ozmo Licensing LLC. The ‘991 patent is generally directed to a wireless hub that integrates wireless networks and has been asserted against HP, Inc, Acer, and Dell Technologies.

IP Investments Group entity DataCloud '555 prior art found

Unified is pleased to announce prior art has been found on U.S. Patent 8,615,555, owned by IP Investments Group entity, DataCloud, LLC. The ‘555 patent relates to a system for remotely accessing, retrieving, and transmitting data and offers remote data management control with verification of data delivery. The patent has been asserted against Liquid Web, OVH Group, and WPEngine.
