DynaIP entity, WirelessWerx IP, geotracking patent found invalid

On March 26, 2026, the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) entered a notice of intent to issue a reexamination certificate cancelling all challenged claims of U.S. Patent 7,317,927 owned by WirelessWerx IP LLC, an NPE and Dynamic IP Deals LLC entity. The '927 patent relates to location tracking and has been asserted in over 60 litigations against companies like Apple, Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, MapleBear, FedEx, DHL Express, and Life360.

Dominion Harbor entity, Bunker Hill, EV battery patent challenged

On March 27, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 9,914,365, asserted by Bunker Hill Technologies, an NPE and entity of Dominion Harbor Enterprises, LLC. The ’365 patent generally relates to a power electronic charging apparatus for rapidly charging a DC energy storage device. It has been asserted against Ford, Toyota, and Nissan.

Another Atlas Global Wi-Fi patent challenged

On March 27, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 10,020,919, owned and asserted by Atlas Global Technologies, LLC, an NPE and Acacia Research entity. The ‘919 patent generally relates to sounding operations for identifying channel conditions in a wireless network based on Wi-Fi transmissions exchanged between an access point and wireless stations in the network. The patent is currently being asserted against HPE, but has been asserted against several companies in the past whose products comply with the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard.

Vision Works vehicle anti-rollover patent challenged

On March 25, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 8,315,769, owned and asserted by Vision Works IP Corp., an NPE. The ’769 patent generally relates to changing suspension characteristics of a moving vehicle in response to lateral acceleration. The ’769 patent is one of several patents asserted against Tesla, Suzuki, Nissan, Subaru, TATA Motors, Polaris, Zhejiang Geely Holding, and Mercedes-Benz.

NL Giken video streaming patent challenged

On March 6, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 10,880,592, owned and asserted by NL Giken Incorporated. The ‘592 patent relates to a digital contents receiving apparatus. It is drawn to a device for receiving live programming as well as downloading content from the internet.
