IP Edge entity, Noblewood IP, settles with Unified

On December 19, 2022, the Board issued an order terminating IPR2022-01111 pursuant to a joint settlement request filed by Unified Patents and Noblewood IP LLC, an NPE and IP Edge entity. U.S. Patent 7,941,553 relates to responding to user requests for multimedia content with a metafile. This patent has been asserted twelve times this year, including against Wolters Kluwer, Viacom, and Everyday Health.

IP Edge entity, Savannah Licensing, settles with Unified

On November 9, 2022, the Board issued an order terminating IPR2022-01026 pursuant to a joint settlement request filed by Unified Patents and Savannah Licensing, an NPE and IP Edge entity. U.S. Patent 9,454,777 relates to using feedback based on a user's indication of frustration with a device and had been asserted against Nuu Mobile, Atlassian, Snapchat, Instagram, Sony, and others.

Jeffrey M. Gross entity Callstat Solutions settles with Unified

On March 14, 2022, the Board issued an order terminating IPR2022-00287 pursuant to a joint settlement request filed by Unified Patents and Callstat Solutions LLC, an NPE and an entity of Jeffrey M. Gross. U.S. Patent 6,236,983 relates to collecting information about a computer system and applying rules to the collected information. It had been asserted against cybersecurity and client management software, including software sold by BMC Software, McAfee, and Check Point Software.

Jenam Tech settles with Unified

On June 29, 2021, the Board issued an order terminating IPR2020-00742 pursuant to a joint settlement request filed by Unified Patents and Jenam Tech, LLC, an NPE and Oso IP affiliate. U.S. Patent 9,923,995 is generally directed to sharing information for detecting an idle network connection between two nodes, and has been asserted in district court cases against LG, Samsung, and Google.

Omnitek Partners settles with Unified

On May 13, 2021, the Board issued an order terminating IPR2020-01574 pursuant to a joint settlement request filed by Unified Patents and Omnitek Partners LLC, an NPE. U.S. Patent 8,224,569 is generally directed towards a method for generating and displaying driving directions. The patent had been asserted in litigation against Ford, Here Global B.V., Toyota, Apple, and Alpine Electronics, and is still currently asserted against GM, Mazda, and Volvo.
