On September 28, 2015 Unified Patents ("Unified") filed a second inter partes review (IPR) against patent owner Qurio Holdings, Inc. ("Qurio") to protect content delivery technologies from NPE assertions. Qurio claims its patent covers distributing television programs to personal communication devices. Qurio has filed 6 cases against content delivery companies and asserted multiple patents, most recently filing in June 2015. Unified independently petitioned for IPR challenging claims 1-5, 7-10, 12, and 14-18.
