Primos Storage cloud services patents prior art found

The team at Unified IP Services used Pearl to successfully identify and chart prior art against five patents owned and asserted by Primos Storage Technology LLC, an NPE. The patents listed below generally relate to transaction-based storage systems. All five patents listed below have been asserted against Amazon.

The prior art was found and charted by Alejandro Borge, Juan Caldera, and Marlon Ramirez of Unified IP Services and Elaine Chow of Unified Patents.

Wolverine Barcode patent validity challenge coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against a patent owned by Wolverine Barcode IP LLC, an NPE and entity of Pueblo Nuevo LLC. Unified Patents, the top requester of ex parte reexaminations in recent years, will likely challenge its validity. The patent generally relates to a system for offline electronic commerce transactions utilizing a User ID Barcode for purchasing goods without needing physical cards or PINs. Wolverine Barcode has sued several including The Kroger Company, 7-Eleven, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Walgreens, Jamba Juice, Sam’s West, Chipotle, Macy’s, and Albertsons Companies. United States CP fingerprint authentication patent campaign - invalidity charts coming soon

The team at Unified IP Services is using Pearl to identify and chart prior art against U.S. Patent 9,760,753, owned by United States CP, LLC, an NPE. The ‘753 patent relates to a finger guide device intended for securing precise placement of a digit on a scanner to capture fingerprints accurately. The patent has been asserted against Samsung and their Galaxy-series smartphones and tablets that incorporate capacitive fingerprint scanners for identity authentication and confirmation.

Acacia entity, Atlas Global, Wi-Fi patent challenged

On February 27, 2026, Unified filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 9,628,310, owned and asserted by Atlas Global Technologies, LLC, an NPE and Acacia Research entity. The ‘310 patent is directed to the format of HE LTFs (high efficiency long training fields) for various combinations of HE LTF modes and channel bandwidths in Wi-Fi transmissions. The patent is currently being asserted against HPE, but has been asserted against Arcadyan Technology, Dell, and Vantiva in the past.

Dominion Harbor entity, Columbia Peak, video surveillance patent found invalid

On February 26, 2026, the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) entered a notice of intent to issue a reexamination certificate cancelling all claims of U.S. Patent 7,446,803, owned by Columbia Peak Ventures, LLC, an NPE and Dominion Harbor entity. The ‘803 patent relates to a system for annotating and searching video files.
