Dynamic IP Deals entity, AK Meeting, groupware patent challenged

On April 17, 2025, Unified Patents filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 10,180,765, owned and asserted by AK Meeting, an NPE and Dynamic IP Deals entity. The ‘765 patent relates to computer-supported cooperative work, also known as groupware, and has been asserted against Adobe.

Fitistics fitness tracking patent confirmed invalid by PTAB

On April 18, 2025, the PTAB confirmed the final rejection of all claims in the ex parte reexamination of U.S. Patent 11,185,738, owned and asserted by Fitistics, LLC, an NPE. The ‘738 patent is generally directed to tracking exercise using a handheld device to obtain data from an exercise machine or body monitoring device. The patent had been asserted against Huawei and Fossil.

$32,000 for AutoConnect Holdings automotive patents prior art

Unified Patents added sixteen new PATROLL contests, each with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on the list below. The patents are owned by AutoConnect Holdings LLC, an NPE. The patents generally relate to vehicle ecosystems.

The contests will expire on June 2, 2025. Please visit PATROLL for more information and to submit an entry for these contests. PATROLL researchers are required to use Pearl to generate claim charts. Submitted invalidity charts must address every limitation of the challenged claim. This may require using more than one prior art reference.
