On May 18, 2015 Unified Patents (Unified) filed an Inter Partes Review (IPR) against patent owner Finnavations LLC (Finnavations) in order to protect Electronic Payment technologies from invalid NPE assertions. Finnavations claims to patent on a user's ability to modify and download transaction data to a financial management program. Finnavations has filed 16 cases against Electronic Payments companies in April 2015. Unified independently filed an IPR challenging claims 1-20 of U.S. Pat. No 8,132,720.
