Unified Patents Files to Invalidate Empire IP Patent
On September 29, Unified Patents (Unified) filed an inter-partes review (IPR) against patent owner Data Speed Technology LLC (Data Speed) in order to protect cloud storage technologies from NPE activity. Unified Invalidates Acacia Owned Compression Technology Patent
On September 19th 2014, Unified Patents invalidated U.S. Patent 5,414,650 in Ex Parte Reexamination. The reexamination was initially filed on July 23, 2013.
