On September 7, 2022, a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, was added seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of U.S. Patent 8,861,512, owned by Coretek Licensing LLC, an IP Edge entity. The patent generally relates to a wireless device can initiate a network connection without using a network operator's home location register. The patent has been asserted over 40 times against companies such as Frontier Communications, Teladoc Health, Ringcentral, and Discord.

On August 12, 2022, a new PATROLL contest, with a $3,000 cash prize, was added seeking prior art on at least claim 58 of U.S. Patent 6,582,380. The patent is owned by Health Tracker Systems, LLC, an NPE. The ‘380 patent generally relates to monitoring activity in individuals and providing feedback based on that activity through a device. The patent is currently being asserted against Polar Electro, Casio, Samsung, Fossil, and Michael Kors.

Unified is pleased to announce PATROLL crowdsourcing contest winners, Vibhor Dimri and Preeti Dua, who split a cash prize of $1,500 for their prior art submissions for U.S. Patent 7,500,201, owned by Interface IP Holdings, LLC, an NPE. The '201 patent generally relates to graphical input devices, and in particular, to input devices in which users select from a list of choices.
