On June 8, 2017, Unified filed a petition for inter partes review (IPR) against U.S. Patent 7,346,313, owned and asserted by Red Rock Analytics, LLC, an NPE. The '313 patent, directed to calibrating the gain balance between I and Q channels in transceivers for digital communications, was first asserted on February 1, 2017 in a complaint for patent infringement against Samsung.
