On October 24, 2014 The Recorder named Unified Patents Founder & CEO Kevin Jakel as one of the first recipients of its annual Innovator Awards. The Recorder's Innovator Award is granted to "honor original approaches to improving delivery of legal services to clients of all kinds."
Other recipients of the Innovator Award include prominent lawyers in working in academia, law firms, and startups.
